2012 McLaren Vale Shiraz, Thomas Goss
Thomas Goss and his family emigrated from Devon in the mid 19th century and literally struck gold. Some of the proceeds went to buy vineyards in one of the most successful regions of South Australia. We can now benefit from his good fortune with this rich and elegant number that's so much more than just a fruit-bomb.

2016 Catarratto, Palazzo del Mare
From the southwest corner of Sicily this wine is made with the aim of maintaining freshness in the face of the island's fiery temperatures. The grapes come from relatively high-altitude (thus cool) vineyards and in the winery it's all about retaining balancing acidity. This results in a soft, dry style with delicious tropical peach and pineapple flavours.
