This week we will be showing off two new arrivals.
2014 DOMAINE DE L'AUMONIER, TOURAINE CHENONCEAUX, FRANCE
£15.99 per bottle - £80 for 6 (£13.33pb) - £150 for 12 (£12.50pb)
We've long been fans of the wines of this domaine and many of you will have tried their Touraine Sauvignon but this is subtly different. Harvested from their very best vineyards, this is 100% Sauvignon aged for 6 months on its lees. Intense, ripe, citrussy fruits are balanced by a refreshing, crisp acidity.
2013 KAESLER, STONEHORSE, GRENACHE/SHIRAZ, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
£17.99 per bottle - £90 for 6 (£15pb) - £170 for 12 (£14.17pb)
This old vine 84% Grenache/16% Shiraz blend is matured in French oak and shows classic Barossa characteristics. Vibrant dark fruits, savoury and spicy, balanced acidity with fine tannins and a long finish. Drinking beautifully now but also has some ageing potential. Awarded 89 points in the June edition of the Wine Advocate.
See you tomorrow,
