Making its glorious return to our shelves this week in time for the last of the sunshine is the Tour Melas Idylle Rosé. This is a lovely, soft, dry rosé. Pale-coloured rose is Provencal in style with a elegant strawberry and peach notes and an underlying minerality which betrays it’s origins. A delicious and moreish wine which tastes of summer afternoons.
£25.99 per bottle or 2 for £45.
Made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on selected terroirs, this is a richer style of French Pinot Noir. Young garnet in colour, the nose opens up to cherry and raspberry aromas. The palate is compellingly silky with a finish that showcases crunchy fruit. This is a versitile wine that is great as an apéritif, pairs nicely with all BBQ's and rich cream cheeses such as Camembert and Brie de Meaux.
£13.99 per bottle or £11.19 in a mixed case.
